Sinter-based AM Technologies such as Binder Jetting Technologies (BJT) and Metal Extrusion have recently gained a lot of attention across different industries. Binder Jetting Technology goes back to a MIT development which originally focused on sand casting forms, but more recently the promise to produce metal components with high productivity gave the technology a new push. Metal Extrusion is based on the established polymer process and is today the most affordable metal technology on the market.
This course will provide a deep dive into both technologies and is specifically targeted toward engineers, designers and other professionals that want to understand if their applications are suitable for these technologies. The three main areas that will be covered are a technology and process chain deep dive, an overview of avaibale materials and properties as well as design guidelines and application examples.
This course is specifically targeted towards engineers, designers and other professionals working hands-on with the sinter-based AM process. The course can either be completed in one go or alternatively be used as a constant source of knowledge when working with Metal Binder Jetting and Metal Extrusion.
